Vampire Weekend, Real Estate, Devendra Banhart, Cass McCombs, members of Dirty Projectors and the Walkmen are among the artists lined up to perform at a benefit concert supporting Occupy Sandy, a self-described ?people-powered network of mutual aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy??that?s organizing a coordinated relief effort for New York neighborhoods ravaged by the devastating storm.

Set for the afternoon of Nov. 17 at?St. Ann & the Holy Trinity in the Brooklyn Heights section of New York City, the matinee gig will feature intimate and mostly acoustic performances from the aforementioned artists. Tickets were available online here for a?minimum suggested donation of $30 but have already sold out. All proceeds will go?to helping build the infrastructure needed to sustain Occupy Sandy?s relief efforts.

The concert is the latest example of rockers doing their part to help people affected by Sandy. Animal Collective,?former?Ween?guitarist Dean Ween, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Ben Gibbard and Phish?s Trey Anastasio?also have announced various efforts to aid victims of Sandy in recent weeks.
